Please join ArtMembers @ Cranbrook for this special opportunity to see the exhibition before it opens to the general public. Warhol will be on view in the Upper Main, Center, North, and South Galleries of Cranbrook Art Museum and open to the public on October 11, 2008 and will have a staggered closing January 4 through 11, 2009. Highlights of the Opening Preview include:
6:00 - 7:00: Lecture by Richard Weisman, Art Collector and Patron of The Athletes Series, deSalle Auditorium."The Athletes Series represents two of the biggest passions of my life: art and sport."
7:00 - 8:00: - Book signing by Richard Weisman, author of Picasso to Pop: The Richard Weisman Collection.
The featured film during the ArtMembers' Opening of Andy Warhol: Grand Slam will be Warhol's concert film The Velvet Underground and Nico (1966)
