MCB digs the art scene here in good ol' Dietroit and we do whatever we can to help get the word out - check this one as they call for artists to participate in the Feb 2009 show"This is a call to artists of all mediums who have experienced the roller coaster of love. I really want the work to deal with the whole spectrum of love, the good, the bad and the ugly. "
The show will feature live performances from local musicians, and a host of over twenty artists from all art mediums, sculpture, painting, video and photography. The experience of being at the show, will mirror that of a roller coaster relationship. A venue has yet to be determined but it will most likely be a gallery within the city of Detroit.
The artwork will be hung the week of February 8th - 15th
with the grand showing on Friday the 13th .
Each applicant must submit a flat $10 submission fee, along with the title, size and digital images of each piece they choose to submit. The deadline for submissions is January 13th and the artists selected for the show will be notified the following week.
So this is your chance to put your art out there, share your view on the wicked wheel of love and be apart of Detroit's gallery scene. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for the show, and seeing it all come together in February.
Please send me low resolution digital files reflecting your style, so I can show potential galleries examples of the artwork which will be apart of the exhibition. And the sooner you send me your actual digital file of your piece, the higher chance you will have of it making on the show promo material. "
