Lawrence Street Galleryʼs March exhibition features the work of Frances Cocagne, Detroit
native and graduate of the College for Creative Studies, where she received scholarships
in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Frances Cocagne uses resilient colors, textures, rhythms and repetition to capture the
essence or the movement of music through the visual arts. She seeks to communicate
harmony, balance and spiritual peace. Frances married David Cocagne, a classical guitarist
who has a masters degree in music, and he is the inspiration for her musical compositions.
David Cocagne will perform live world music with The Troubadours from 7:30 - 9:00 at
Francesʼ opening reception on March 7 (public invited).
