Whenever you come to PJ's Lager House on a weekend, it is Karen and Dana's welcoming faces that greet you behind the bar and serve up your nice cold ones real quick. This Saturday, help them celebrate their birthdays by buying them a shot and coming to party!
Musically, the band journeys across the American sound landscape, playing mostly their own material. They play a hybrid of Jump-Blues and Rockabilly with a modern Punk edge, avoiding most of the cliché associated with Rockabilly bands.
When they do cover songs, expect the unexpected. On a given night, you'll hear Tom Waits, Bauhaus, Misfits, Motörhead, Tom Jones, Ramones, and even Kiss. Dune Buggy Attack Battalion opens. "DBAB" is the tag that the media put on the Manson family's anonymous attacks while traveling on dune buggies through the desert. The Battalion's sound runs the gamut of influences ranging from the 60s style of the Beatles and the Byrds to 70s experimental acts such as Can and the Velvet Underground. In other words: a mind-bending salad.
