show at 9pm
An eclectic blend of musicians found in the
Ferndale/Detroit area. The selected artists all share common ground with
acoustic instrumentation but stylistically range form traditional to alternative
folk.
Lac LA Belle: an acoustic duo that juxtaposes the early
decades of recorded rural American music with decaying Rustbelt
aesthetic.
Josh
Malerman: an adventure-clown, a mad-thriller, part super-villian, part
rose. Singer/songwriter of the High Strung (who penned and perform the theme
song for Showtime's hit show 'Shameless', Malerman's novel Bird Box was picked
up by HarperCollins for publication as well as Universal Studios for the film
rights.
The Metro Times said Malerman's album
'Preposterous!' was like "another kind of Emily Dickinson, pulled from another
dimension".
Ryan Dillaha: Considered a hometown hero, Dillaha's genre
breaking acoustic ensembles attract many from audiences of blues, folk,
Americana and modern indie rock.
Also performing: Award winning and current Detroit
Music Award nominee: Emily Rose
and Jereme 'Jibs' Brown.
