TIX HERE

Here’s your ticket to a satisfying banquet of this year’s Oscar® nominated shorts – in both the animated and live-action categories – as well as your opportunity to predict the winners before the Oscars are handed out on February 26th! The short-film nominees are traditionally among the year’s most creative and surprising films of any kind, yet they’re also the most difficult to find. We’ll present them in one eye-popping program, with a brief intermission between the animated and live-action categories.

And, the nominees are:

Best Animated Short Film

Dimanche/Sunday
directed by Patrick Doyon
The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
directed by William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg

La Luna
directed by Enrico Casarosa

A Morning Stroll
directed by Grant Orchard and Sue Goffe

Wild Life
directed by Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby

Best Live Action Short Film

Pentecost
directed by Peter McDonald and Eimear O’Kane

Raju
directed by Max Zähle and Stefan Gieren

The Shore
directed by Terry George and Oorlagh George

Time Freak
directed by Andrew Bowler and Gigi Causey

Tuba Atlantic
 directed by Hallvar Witzø

Since this is traditionally the DFT’s most popular annual program, advance tickets are highly recommended!
