FOOD REVIEW: Seeburgers Cheeseburgers/Mt. Clemens by LAWRENCEcreative

OPEN MONDAY - SATURDAY / 11 to 8 - SUNDAY / 11 to 5
71 North Main Street, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043
(586) 468-4200

From their website: 'Seeburger's Cheeseburgers is located along the main drag in historic downtown Mt. Clemens. An area where just about anyone that eats knows who "The Todd" is. If you are one of the few who don't (yet) know him. He is the dashing man you may catch on a green Razor scooter tooling up and down Main Street - 2, 3, maybe 14 times a day. Seeburger's is his 2nd venture in the MC and features Gourmet 'Sliders' like Ahi Tuna and Beef Tenderloin. Plus, traditional favorites like Corn Chowder and Coneys. And Ice Cream. Don't forget the Ice Cream! Eight Hand Dipped flavors from Stroh's. So go ahead, top off your Caprese Salad and Fruit Cup with a Hot Fudge Cream Puff!! The only thing missing from the charming Retro motif are the white paper hats on the guys! We're working on that one!!  The hearty sandwiches are made with only the choicest meats and fresh vegetables. The Seasoned Fries have been described to be more satisfying than - well, something not fit to print!! And just to remind you, everything "The Todd" prepares is always fresh, always homemade and always DELICIOUS!!!!  Come say hi! Oh, and EAT SOMETHING!!'

My input: In a nutshell, consider this the Comet Burger of the East Side!  (And that's a compliment!)  The Boys and I stopped in for dinner last night, having always wanted to stop in, but never having an opportunity.  We ordered ourselves a basket of 12 burgers, a basket of chili cheese fries and a couple of never-ending Vernors and Orange Crush pops.

The burgers come equipped with perfectly steamed buns, mini patties, onions and cheese...sans condiments.  Feel free to add your own, as my son did.  They provide your typical stand-ins: mustard, ketchup, malt vinegar and ranch dressing on the side.

The chili cheese fries, in all their cardiac chili-cheesy goodness, were almost devoured before we dove into the burgers... thats how addictive they were!  And, according to my 8 year old, Max, the perfect combination for these burgers is by placing 4 chili-cheese covered french fries between the steamed buns for an extra special taste.  Damn straight if that kids ain't right!  It took the burger to another level.  (I'm drooling right now thinking of it...)

Stop in today, have a few, and help keep your local entrepreneurs alive in this piss-poor economy!
