Building on the abstract, the current exhibit at the Cass Café features 5 artists with strong Detroit roots. Each artist’s work elicits a variety of unpredicted responses found in the structural space.
The finished pieces reference what can be done to a material form. The layering techniques seen throughout this exhibition reflects the artists’ interest in texture, color, shape, line, light and language to co-exist with elements in a single form.
