By way of an untiring circuit of national touring, a month-long reprise trip to Europe, an appearance at Bonnaroo, and a reputation of singing to fans long afterhours amid back-alleys and dumpsters, the youthful and apparently boundless energy of Frontier Ruckus has never seemed more undeniably vigorous. It is with this momentum that they now approach the release of their next creation.
Deadmalls and Nightfalls is a new, sacred landscape—an obsessively vivid exploration of the landmarks of memory within the psyche of songwriter Matthew Milia, given vital physicality by the instrumentation of Milia, David Winston Jones, Zachary Nichols, and Ryan Etzcorn. It is poised with invitation for all to enter on July 20, via Ramseur Records.
With the materials of unyielding language and resonant musicality, Frontier Ruckus continues to construct an artistic entity that is quite singular and truly important for the growing number that has made their acquaintance.
