Virtual Insanity
Opening Reception Friday, March 13th, 7-10pm
Exhibit March 13 - April 25, 2015
Carlos Rene Pacheco, Found (Collective: Abbey Road, Digital Projection)
Whitdel Arts is proud to present, Virtual Insanity, an exhibition exploring social media and how it manifests itself in our identities, relationships, and culture. This exhibition looks at the ways social media both bolsters and separates us from one another and ourselves. Social media is a polarizing concept that has the ability to connect billions of people, perspectives, and cultures in ways that were never possible a few decades ago, but in the process are we losing touch with the sense of tactile reality previous generations had? Do we have too much access to each other, or perhaps not enough? Are you really a CEO, or just a busboy? Would you swipe right on the person you are versus the person you project?
Please join us for an opening reception for the artists on Friday, March 13th, 7-10pm
