Celebrate 10 years of the masked abrasive, instrumental surf-core punk mayhem! The group of extraterrestrial parasites known as THE AMINO ACIDS crashed to Earth in 1962 (or 1965.) After a brief and unsuccessful attempt at securing human hosts - and some say a meeting with J.R. "Bob" Dobbs - they managed to just slack off and hiberntae for over thirty years, emerging finally sometime after "X-Day" in 1998.
This time they succeeded in taking human host bodies but for some unknown reason they started an abrasive, instrumental surf-core band instead. Little is known about what caused these (or any) paticular humans to be chosen for "duty" by alien beings. Inhabited human hosts enter a fugue-like state with extremely compulsive and impulsive tendencies which has be refered to as "Parasite-Induced-Somnambulistic-Trance" (or P.I.S.T.) and can be likened to sleepwalking, although sleepwalking with a purpose.
They have a strict doctrine of not communicating verbally with humans under any circumstances, and should be considered very dangerous - they have said to have been able to exert an "influence" over humans around them.
Why creatures from outer space would neglect all of the usual stereotypes of alien invasion behavior- i.e.- slaughtering the masses, enslaving humanity, breeding giant lobsters - only to merely play "punk rock" is not entirely understood.
