Local Tattoo Artists Present Free Winter Art Gallery
Support local talent by enjoying live music, art, food and fun. The Winter Gallery will be held Dec. 11, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will preview art from local artists including gallery creators and tattoo artists Dave DeRue, Larry Farley and Marna Binkowski. The Winter Gallery will be held at 5438 Sashabaw Rd. Clarkston, Mich. and will present art provided by local talent from all around the Metro Detroit area. The Winter Gallery is free and open to the public.
Enjoy live music provided by local bands, The Dirty Dives and Brandon Bogues. Acoustic rock alternative artist Brandon Bogues will set stage at noon and The Dirty Dives will play at 6 p.m. Stick around for the full live band set at 8 p.m.
The Winter Gallery will allow the local artists to become involved in the community. "It will also help up and coming artists get involved, as well as leaving a huge incentive for experienced artists in this scene," say DeRue. "This gallery will be a great chance to catch just some of these rare gifts our community has to offer!" Artists will be bringing a diverse range of original art to sell and preview.
Other local artists will include Anastasia Chatzka, Crystal Mielcarek, Amber Guffey, Johnny Kurtz, Dave Gilbert, Josiah Johnson, Kenn Osborne, Derick Nabarette, Liz Lola Teifer, Steve Lemirande, Tom Einheuser, and Shaun Beaudry. The Winter Gallery gives you the chance to support locals by purchasing local artwork, music and tattoo gift certificates.
