Belle Isle Conservancy's Pathways to the Garden Party 2012
WHEN: Tuesday, September 11th from 5:30pm-7:30pm
WHERE: Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory on Belle Isle
On Tuesday, September 11th from 5:30pm-7:30pm, the Belle Isle Conservancy (BIC) and nearly 20 garden clubs from southeastern Michigan will host the Pathways to the Garden Party 2012. The event will take place at Belle Isle Park's beautiful Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory and will help provide further funding for the restoration of the Conservatory's garden flagstone paths.
Guests are invited to gather "under the tent" for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. They will also have an opportunity to tour the Conservatory and walk its beautiful gardens. 8th Annual Belle Isle Polish the Jewel Legacy Luncheon
When: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 11am-1:30pm
Where: Belle Isle Casino
Please join the Belle Isle Conservancy at their 8th Annual Polish the Jewel Legacy Luncheon on Wednesday, September 19th. The luncheon will begin with a reception at 11am where guests can enjoy appetizers and mingle with other patrons. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction where they can bid on a painting from renowned artist, Jane McFeely, as well as new and vintage jewelry, entertainment and dining packages and a variety of other goods and services donated by local merchants. The BIC is happy to have Cynthia Hempstead as this year's Event Chair.
Those who purchase tickets at a Benefactor level ($250 and above) will also be invited to a Benefactor Party on August 23 from 5:30pm-7:30pm where they can enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to celebrate Polish the Jewel.
