Livetronica act, Big Gigantic, are bringing their “The Night
Is Young” tour to the Royal Oak Music Theatre on Sunday, February 16th. Duo, Big Gigantic, are comprised of saxophonist/producer, Dominic Lalli, and
Drummer, Jeremy Salkin. The pair combines
jazz with hip hop and electronic sounds and when performing live they feature
live instrumentation, including drums and saxophone. Big Gigantic, or “Big G”
for short, formed in Boulder, Colorado in 2008, since then their career has
been marked by milestone after milestone. Their much anticipated new album "The Night Is Young" is set for release on February 11th, so you'll have 5 full days before the show to learn their new material. This is their third February set at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in as many years. In 2013, the duo played almost every festival
imaginable including Movement Festival in Hart Plaza,
North Coast Music Festival, Firefly Music Festival, Hangout Music Festival,
Voodoo, Electric Zoo, and Summer Camp and they are already on the lineup for this year’s
Coachella, Big Day Out and Counterpoint Festivals.
To go along with their explosive sounds, Big Gigantic also bring an equally impressive light show. Their stage is covered wall to wall in an immersive, state of the art, light show that is absolutely jaw dropping. This show is sure to be a rowdy, high energy party that you'll be telling everyone you know about. Don't miss out on this!
