Who Likes To Rock the Party?
Detroit's business elite made it out last Friday to the Detroit Opera House's swanky 20's themed 10th annual fundraiser, BravoBravo! This yearly bash was more important than ever as the DOH and most of Detroit's performing arts community has suffered from a lack of funding from the big 3. In fact, if you look at the DOH schedule they are closed for a month this year to save operating costs. So once a year the DOH goes all out for the community and organizes one of the best parties in the D.
Dozens of Detroit's greatest restaurants and spirits were represented, from Roast to Vincente's, and the battle of ice sculptures amongst the giggle water (vodka) reps was only outdone by the flapper dresses and hats on all the birds, WOW. The 20's themed party allowed the guys and dolls to put on their glad rags and swing out the Charleston to the music of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies till the wee hours, a swell time was had by all.
Support the performing arts of Detroit, save your pennies for next years party and go early. Stay in the loop and follow MCB's posts about these events including next weeks Car's and Stars put on by Detroit Music Hall
