There's a very unique and artistic show coming our way with Julia Holter and Hundred Waters playing Vernors Room in Pontiac on this coming Monday. Julia Holter is called an audio experimenter, but don't let that scare you off as she combines beautiful ambient melodies of deep sounds and tones with her soft but compelling vocals. Her album "Ekstasis" has been winning over critics from the art circles as well as the indie crowd.
Hundred Waters also put an ambient touch to their music which places them as the odd band from Florida that is part of Skrillex's OWSLA label. They have an ep out for their enchanting song "Thistle" which includes remixes from Star Slinger and AraabMuzik. Local singer Laura Jean opens the show.
