Most electronic shows with fantastic lights have been held recently at Electricity or Royal Oak Music Theatre, but here's a smaller show that is promising to pack an electronic punch at the Pike Room with Savoy on Wednesday, Jan. 30th.
Savoy is comprised of instrumentalists turned seasoned producers, Gray Smith, Ben Eberdt, and live drummer Michael Kelly who have taken elements from almost every sub-genre of electronic music and mashed them together to create a truly unique and captivating sound that will leave their fans all in one sweaty mess at the end of the night. In 2012, Savoy put themselves on the map playing critically acclaimed sets at premier electronic festivals like Jay Z's Made In America Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Ultra Music Festival along side countless shows at live venues and clubs throughout the US. Their live concert, which now boasts a laser show that looks like the moonraker from Golden Eye, matched with blog destroying remixes, and beatport charting tracks, is solidifying the fact that these guys are the purveyors of one of the best parties around. This year is set to take Savoy to the next level with a 365 day agenda of releasing tracks, collaborating with some of the world's best producers, and bringing their laser-induced mindf*ck of a show to venues, festivals, and clubs across the world.
If you want a sample of the sounds to match the sights you can download their latest ep for free at their facebook site.
