BROADWAY IN DETROIT REVIEW: Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" at the Fisher Theatre, March 25 - 30!

Brought to life in this Broadway production, The traditional fairytale of Beauty and the Beast, while translated into hundreds of versions worldwide was first published in mid-18th century France, this Story of love and friendship and inner beauty is brought to life on stage, based on the adaptation of Disney's 1991 animated feature film.

Because of Disney's winning academy awards for Best Original Score and Best Song, It made history for being the only animated feature ever nominated for best picture, Disney quickly began adaption for stage in 1994, which ran for 13 years, making it the eighth longest running musical on Broadway, it is still running in 21 additional countries. The original creators of the Broadway production are together on this tour, from Choreography to Costume design, the set design lends a modern feel to the provincial setting, with enchanting lights and elaborate drops.

This Production is meant to be enjoyed for audience members, young and old, including toddling little "Belles" in their yellow gowns. The entire audience enjoyed the Laugh out Loud physical comedy and wit of the essential supporting characters. The highlight of course, the famous "Be Our Guest" includes the bulk of the cast joining on stage for an exciting dance number, filled with action and lights! Be sure to catch this amazing production while you can, with your family or as a night out, it is sure to be loved by all.
