For the month of April, Lawrence Street Gallery hosts its annual photography exhibit: Exposures Photography '14. For 18 years the gallery has presented this juried show which draws entries from many photographers and artists from the area. Come to the show to see new techniques and old in the world of photography.
The show will be juried by Jenny Risher, a Detroit native whose continual strive for perfection, fresh style, and natural sensibility has afforded her the opportunity to photograph for many illustrious clients. Jenny's photographs have been published in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Noise, Marie Claire, Curve, Parents, Redbook, Hour, and Mens Health magazines. Jenny completed her first book, Heart Soul Detroit, a self-produced venture. She interviewed and photographed 50 iconic Detroiters, including Iggy Pop, Smokey Robinson, Jack White, Dr. Jack Kevorkian, Lily Tomlin, Alice Cooper, Bill Ford Jr, Lee Iacocca, Eminem, and Tim Allen.
