A very unique group is playing this Sunday at The Old Miami: FENSTER - from Berlin via New York City, France and Germany. I find myself interested in what this band is like up close after telling us about their latest release.-
The Pink Caves is an intuitive and spontaneous approach to noise experimentation. The band set up a home studio in a cabin in East Germany, which was wired so every room contained different elements. The house was an instrument in itself, using slamming doors, clanging the metal oven, the ticking of clocks, the animals in the yard, the water in the well, candlesticks, coat hangers and matches...whatever happened to be within reach.
