The Prime Ministers CD Release Party
Saturday, June 20, 2009
Pike Room @ CROFOOT
1 South Saginaw
Pontiac, MI 48342
Doors @ 8:00pm, Show @ 9:00pm
$8 Cover, All Ages
As CDs and mp3s serve more as a promotional tool than a revenue stream, the Prime Ministers are adding themselves to a rising number of bands looking at innovative ways to distribute music. Everyone in attendance at the show will receive a free copy of COMPROMISER and for the rest of The Prime Ministers fans, they can visit http://www.theprimeministers.com/ to download the entire album free of charge.
COMPROMISER strictly approaches adult themes with honesty and a wry sense of humor: family commitments ("Learned From The Best," "Matters Most"), dating for over-30s ("Only 35"), reconnecting with old friends through technology ("Safe & Sound On Microchips") and summer nights spent watching veteran rock acts at the local amphitheater ("Late In The Day"). These grown-ups may sing about adult situations, but they never take themselves too seriously and perhaps that aids in the fact that The Prime Ministers refuse to give up their dreams of rock glory.
Each of COMPROMISER's 10 tracks remain loud and fun , packed with feel-good melodies and minivan-accelerating choruses that sear themselves into your brain even before the guitar solo kicks in.
