Powers Distributing invites you to get ready for American Craft Beer Week at 2nd annual Craft Beer Expo
WHAT: Craft Beer Expo 2014 will bring together 27 of the best American craft breweries under one roof – 10 hailing from across Michigan.
WHO: Powers Distributing, a family-owned business celebrating 75 years in Orion Township, will host its second annual event in Oakland County. Interviews will be available with CEO Gary Thompson, cicerones, organizers and brewery representatives.
WHEN: 7-10 p.m. May 9. It precedes American Craft Beer Week.
WHERE: Royal Oak Farmers’ Market, 316 E. 11 Mile, Royal Oak
BEER: Breweries include: Griffin Claw Brewing Company, Cheboygan Brewing Company, Dragonmead Brewing Company, Kuhnhenn Brewing Company, Vander Mill Ciders, Latitude 42 Brewing Co., Right Brain Brewery, North Peak Brewing Company, Saugatuck Brewing Company, Uncle John's Michigan Cider, Oskar Blues Brewery, Blue Moon Brewing Company, Tenth & Blake Beer Company, Samuel Adams – The Boston Beer Company, Magic Hat Brewing Company, Vermont Hard Cider Company (Woodchuck), Brooklyn Brewery, Boulder Beer Company, Tommyknocker Brewing Company, Spoetzl Brewery (Shiner), Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., Pyramid Breweries, Coronado Brewing Co., The Traveler Beer Co., Leinenkugel’s, Angry Orchard and Anchor Brewing Company.
DINE: Popular food trucks including Treat Dreams, Detroit BBQ Company, Concrete Cuisine and People’s Pierogi Collective will be onhand. Look for special items made with craft beer including corned beef and swiss pierogi with Green Flash Double Stout; Vander Mill’s Totally Roasted Spiced Cider Sorbet; and Right Brain CEO Stout Brownies topped with Treat Dreams signature salted caramel ice cream and Griffin Claw Cherry Bourbon Stout chocolate sauce.

TICKETS: Cost $25 in advance at www.craftbeerexpo.net or for cash only at the door. Discounted tickets, $20 each, are available while they last at all Hollywood Market locations.
SUPPORT: A portion of ticket sales will support the Detroit Lions Club, a local branch of the Lions Club International Foundation.
