Detroit Hip Hop Duo Progress Report
To Host Record Release Party
After Successful Fan Micro-Funding Project
With an impressive $5000 in funds raised from 120 supporters in 45 days and an album that has been in production for 3 years, the anticipation is now over and you’re invited to see the “progress” of the hip-hop duo Progress Report. On Friday, March 25, 2011, Progress Report will celebrate the release of its debut self-titled project at the Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan.
Progress Report was conceived by David “D. Allie” Strauss and Richard “Eddie Logix” Solecki. Prior to joining forces D. Allie and Eddie Logix were two of Metro Detroit’s most active members in the hip hop scene, each rising from their respective crews: United States of Mind and Midcoast Most. As both musicians shared the same passion, they came together with the goal to reflect on their own lives through the medium that best appealed to them, hip-hop music. Eddie Logix is a Producer, Emcee, and Audio Engineer. D. Allie is an Emcee with broad ranges of musical influences including his father a guitarist and his sister a singer who both appear on the Progress Report LP.
The support for this duo has been paramount. The duo managed to raise over $5,000.00 in funds through Kickstarter.com which is a platform for for creative projects to raise money through fan funding. Progress Report started their campaign so their fans and supporters can help them continue their development as a professional music brand. The duo attained it's previously lofty goal to record its debut album with the support of over 120 contributors in just 45 days.
