A few pre-bout thoughts from Kraken Whips, Captain of the Detroit Pistoffs:
Detroit Area Dork : Do you think the results of the last bout affect the Pistoff's chances of moving up in the rankings?
Kraken Whips: Yes, every bout will change the rankings for you and for every other team. A lot of people were expecting D-funk to win, and the Whippers really put themselves in the "don't count us out" category. Which just goes to show you that, you never really know what will happen. The Dames are really looking for that one win this season, and if they want it bad enough, they can attain it. However, I'm going to do everything in my power to not let that happen, so I hope they are ready.
Detroit Area Dork : Did your last win change the atmosphere at practice?
Kraken Whips: Absolutely not, win or lose we Pistoffs work hard, and we don't stop working hard even after a win. Just because of the way the practice schedule worked out, we did have a bit of down time, but we never felt like "oh, we got this". As I said before, you just never know so it's best to prepare for the battle of your life no matter your opponent. Don't get me wrong, we like to win, but win or lose we always try to keep positive and work hard. I'm not gonna lie though, it felt pretty good.
Detroit Area Dork : Will you be too exhausted after the bout to enjoy the rest of St. Patrick's Day?Kraken Whips: Naw! Win or lose the drinking is on!
