Our own famously filthy Dirty Show's mid-year exhibition -- happening September 35-October 3 at Bert's Warehouse Theater, Eastern Market -- is looking for YOUR submission. Also your artwork. ;)
The call for art is currently open but ends August 18. So get your ass together (and paint a picture of it).
Once again we return to a twice-a-year exhibition format, with a Late-Summer exhibition in September. There are a number reasons we are doing this. The first being the show is successful enough to pull it off—our previous exhibition this past February was almost too successful. Also, by having a show during this temperate Michigan weather, patrons need not worry about snow or slush. Most important of all, we will have an enlarged space for the exhibition, with plenty of fresh air.
This time, the very best art from the exhibition will go on tour starting in Chicago and ending up on the West Coast in November.
The traditional Dirty Show® in February (2010) will continue as well.
