Sparkhop's 2nd Annual Sparkfest will play host to over forty diverse emcees & bands from throughout the state of Michigan on August 4th, 2012 for an all day hip hop, art, & fashion event. An early day focus on local art & mid afternoon fashion presentation showcasing Michigan based clothing brands Collective, Epyon Royal, Slubbclub, Green Mitten, & Strung Out Apparel will lead the transition into a full day of live entertainment across two stages. This years event is once again located inside of The Crofoot in downtown Pontiac, MI & will take place in the Pike Room & Vernor's Room stages.
At last years Sparkfest roughly 30 acts had performed. This year with 45 performers set to take stage, the addition of fashion brands, & a larger amount of local sponsors the event will at the very least be an evolution from the last. However it doesn't end there! In addition to those three things there will also be a one hour long beat battle presented by DetroitRap.com & hosted by Uncle P featuring 8 producers who include No Speakerz, Astray, A.P., Pigpen, 01, X The Detective, Yung Classix, & Creative Notez.
Taking place across two stages between two rooms interconnected so attendees can move from stage to stage throughout the day. Doors for Sparkfest 2012 open at 2:00PM SATURDAY August 4th & is open to all ages before midnight 21+ after midnight. Advance tickets are available at $15 via www.sparkfest2012.comthrough the end of July. (Bulk ticket packages are also available.) Tickets purchased the day of the event will cost $20.
