Barcelona based dance-pop band Delorean are
headed to Detroit on October 16th for their first headlining tour supporting their
new album Apar. The album was released earlier this month on True Panther
Sounds, and it captures the spirit of the band's engrossing and truly
celebratory live shows.
XLR8R called Apar, "an
alternately bright and wistful record that both broadens Delorean's palette and
presents its sound with a new, crystalline studio sheen that suits the music
nicely," and Filter said "it's layered with drums, guitar, piano, synths
and vocals in an incredibly harmonious manner."
The band
recently released a video for the track
"Destitute Time" and Pitchfork reviewed it saying (it's)
"cooing vocals, ringing guitars, and buoyant synthesizers carry the track as
singer Ekhi Lopetegi sounds measured and conversational throughout, staying
steady even as his bandmates ratchet up the jangle
