IMPERIAL’S SECOND ANNUAL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION
Imperial is DEAD (Dedication to Education and Arts
Day)!
International and local artists unite
at Imperial in Ferndale once again to donate their skulls (hand painted paper
mache skulls) for charity.
Join us Nov 1st (artist reception 7pm) and Nov 2nd
to celebrate this fascinating Mexican Day of the Dead holiday with community altars,
offerandas, tamales, specialty cocktails, face painters, and much more.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit
enrichment programs at Roosevelt Primary School in Ferndale, and the Eagles
Pledge’s Scholarship program for college-bound graduating Ferndale high school
students.
Last year they raised over $2500
for the cause
This year's artists include Glenn Barr, Mark Arminski, Mark
Dancey, BASK, Matt Eaton, SLAW, Lyle Hayman, Topher Crowder, Chris Gorski, Kill
Taupe, Ron Zakrin, Mark Heggie, Jaclyn Schanes, Susanna Popov-Griggs, Jerry
Vile, Kim Hoxworth, Josh Barg,The Silent Giants, Mark Maness, and Emi Slade. The
skulls will be available for viewing in the restaurant and on Ebay after Oct.
28th.
