The Constant Energy Struggles Tour is named after Ces Cru’s Strange Music debut album, which was released in 2013. The acclaimed collection features several singles whose videos have become viral hits: “When Worlds Collide” (more than 1 million YouTube views), “Seven Chakras” (more than 700,000 YouTube views) and “Juice” (more than 650,000 views) among them.
After building a name for themselves independently in Kansas City, Ubiquitous and Godemis’ distinctive tag-team rap style endeared them to Strange Music co-founder Tech N9ne. “I hand-picked Ces Cru for Strange Music,” says Tech N9ne, who co-owns Strange Music with Travis O’Guin. “Ubiquitous and Godemis are two of rap’s best artists. That’s why I wanted them on our team.”
Ces Cru will be joined on the Constant Energy Struggles Tour by producer-songwriter-emcee Info Gates. Info Gates has collaborated extensively with Ces Cru, producing on its Constant Energy Struggles album and 13 EP, as well as Ubiquitous and Godemis’ solo mixtapes. The Kansas City-based artist also appeared on Tech N9ne’s song “Colorado,” from Tech N9ne’s Something Else album.
In 2013, Ces Cru appeared on the Strange Music Independent Powerhouse Tour 2013 with labelmates Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, Brotha Lynch Hung, Kutt Calhoun and Rittz.
You can catch Ces Cru playing in Chesterfield at the Diesel Concert Lounge on Thursday, June 5th.
