June 4-8, 2014
The DFT is proud to be one of the venues for this year's Cinetopia International Film Festival. The festival kicks off June 4 with an opening night party and screening of the new American independent film 1982, one of the most talked-about films at the most recent Toronto Film Festival. A sensitively directed portrait of African American life in 1980s Philadelphia, 1982 illustrates the loving and complex relationship between a working class man and his young daughter. In attendance will be 1982 director Tommy Oliver.
