November 20, 2009 – January 2, 2010
At Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) we're getting ready to fill our galleries with handmade objects and artworks of all kinds just in time for the holidays. These unique gift items are created by Michigan artists working in all media – glass, ceramic, painting, fibers, jewelry, toys, metal, mixed media and more. We're taking in variety of artworks from formal to funky and everything in between. You'll find traditional favorites like hand-blown glass ornaments and Pewabic Pottery, alongside exciting new works by artists from across the state.
The Holiday Gift Gallery will open with two special events: a spectacular opening reception, with an exclusive silent auction of a few special ornaments donated by participating artists; and an early morning shopping extravaganza featuring special discounts for PCCA members. The opening reception and silent auction take place on Friday, November 20, from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. The shopping extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, November 21 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. All items will be cash and carry.
Proceeds from the silent auction will provide support for PCCA's exhibition program.
Join us for some holiday gift shopping, festive music, a delicious array of hors d'oeuvres and sweets from area merchants, and an opportunity to mingle with artists, collectors and art lovers from all over the region.
