Lost & Found Vintage and Pure Detroit
Team Up For Vintage Couture Fashion Show
“CITY OF GLASS”
All Proceeds To Benefit Detroit’s Alternatives For Girls

On Sunday, February 21, Lost & Found Vintage and Pure Detroit will join their fashionable forces to benefit Detroit’s Alternatives for Girls. The vintage couture fashion show known as CITY OF GLASS at Cliff Bell’s will focus primarily on evening gowns, cocktail dresses, winter outerwear and metallic avant-garde pieces from Lost & Found’s personal collection with select vintage jewelry pieces from Pure Detroit’s Vera Jane store. The runway will be fueled with the sounds of HAUTE TO DEATH and the night will wrap up with a performance by female-led, sludge-psych rock of Detroit’s own The Octopus. Pure Detroit Cultural Arts Coordinator and local journalist Ryan Patrick Hooper will host the event. Tickets are $10 at the door, or $5 with the donation of plastic ware, scarves/gloves or unused body wash.

After Lost & Found’s first ever fashion show last May at Cliff Bell’s, a sold-out affair that raised over $900 for Detroit’s Arts & Scraps Foundation, event coordinators Brittany Bill-Meyer and Yvonne Spampinato were anxious to launch another show that catered to the fashions of winter while raising money for local charity and embracing regionalism through local business (Lost & Found, a critically acclaimed vintage shop in downtown Royal Oak; Pure Detroit, a Detroit-themed retail venture with various locations in downtown Detroit).
“We truly want to exceed the expectations we set for ourselves with our last event,
and hopefully raise more money in the process,” says Spampinato.
