Wild At Heart midweek special

Wild At Heart

Wouldn't it be cool if roller derby was actually a college credit class?

Just a random thought before I get into something really bothering me.

Just had a few things going on and some free time so I'd thought I'd spend some time to talk about a few things. First, being a Yankees fan it was nice seeing them win the World Series for their record 27th time though is it just me who thinks that the Series should be over before November? It's just too cold out for baseball. Brrrrrr!

Tomorrow will see the The Cult take the stage at the Fillmore. Forming in 1983, this English rock band is known for it's singles such as singles such as "Love Removal Machine", "Fire Woman" and "She Sells Sanctuary" (the last being off their biggest record 'Love' which they will be performing at the show in it's complete self). For those that don't remember, lead singer Ian Astbury followed in his hero's footsteps by becoming lead singer in an updated version of The Doors, with original members Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, known as The Doors of the 21st Century which I saw at Pine Knob and he really channelled Jim Morrison that night. If you would like to see the Cult tomorrow, be the first person to email me at doramu13@yahoo.com and I'll hook you up with a pair of tickets for the show.

Also, on Monday 9th, AFI will be performing at the Fillmore. Best known for the songs "Miss Murder" and "Love Like Winter", this American rock band from Ukiah, California would like you to see them live and the first person to email me at doramu13@yahoo.com gets that privelidge. They are performing with the English punk rock band Gallows.

For Pistons fans, the Take One Community Program, in alliance with The Pistons-Palace Foundation, is calling all fans to “Pack The Palace For Charity” on Thursday, December 10th at 7:30PM at The Palace of Auburn Hills. One year later, the program had expanded into a year-round program offering after school leadership and recreational enrichment activities to youth. AMC Livonia 20 and AMC Star Great Lakes 25 will both turn their lobbies into a Christmas Celebration in honor of the opening of Disney’s "A Christmas Carol", which opens in their IMAX® theatres on Friday, November 6. This Christmas Celebration event takes place from 6:30PM-8:00PM and is free and open to the public. Please note that all activities are free, but do not include free admission to a movie. Visitors at each theatre can help ring in the holiday cheer with Christmas caroling, family fun activities and much more! AMC Livonia will have carols performed by the Livonia Civic Choir and will have a special appearance by Santa and his elves. Great lakes Crossing will have singer Cliff Erickson performing. I still think November is too early for Christmas but don't let me be a Scrouge for anyone who wants to enjoy it a bit early.

I'll have more for you on Monday so don't you fret. Have a good weekend and stay warm!
