where we feature the folks who are running the streets for MOTORCITYBLOG

this time its Brett Lawrence

whose first assignment for MCB was covering DEMF 2008

since then he has proven to be one of the most dedicated

and hard working contributors and forget about his mad skills

LAWRENCEcreative is Brett J. Lawrence

a local Photographer and Graphic Designer hailing from Suburbia, Detroit.

Shooting everything from Portraits and Architecture to Urbex,

Concert/Event Photography has really become his favorite subject since joining MCB back in 2008. With a studio in the heart of Detroit, located at the Russell Industrial Complex, Brett does everything he can to support Detroit and the many facets of the City.

When asked:

"Why spend your time shooting for MCB if Kirk is too much of a tightwad to even pay you?"

He replied:
"How else am I gonna be able to get all liquored up on ice cold PBR and photograph kick-ass concerts and invite-only events for free? It's not like I have the charisma of Eric Estrada to con my way in the door or the physique of Matthew McConaughey to offer sexual favors to pull off that shit. A fella does what a fella's gotta do, right?"
