The 2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival -- jointly presented by Cranbrook Academy of Art and Cranbrook Institute of Science -- features the world's best footage on mountain subjects.
For 2010, almost 300 films from approximately 35 countries were entered into the competition. The films range from productions created by first-time filmmakers to professional crews working with companies like the BBC and National Geographic.
This year marks the festival's third visit to Cranbrook.For more information,
