Jan Brown's abstracts lure viewers in by their emotion and excitement. She creates spaces that beckon one to look deeper, past the surface, to a richer and more complete
experience. Her colors are blended with brayer, scraper, and brush to create a depth of intensity; her lines, whether drawn or dripped bring an excitement to the surface; her
sense of space moves one forward and backward at the same time.
Included here is the painting Dr. T. J. Eckleberg inspired by the book The Great Gatsby.
