now on to the bands
Doors open at 7pm with the Spaceband kicking off the live music at 8pm
Spaceband (Detroit) is a 5-9 piece experimental ensemble who have been
playing together for 15 years (15 year anniversary this year) and specialize in
original compositions, heavily influenced by poly-rhythmic explorations with
bebop jazz inflections. Anyone who has been to Dally in the Alley have caught in a daze watching the Space Band live and we expect the full 9 member group on stage this coming Friday.
Spaceband is sponsored by www.PAPERICONS.com who is dedicated to the professional study of vintage nude photography and will also appeal to the casual collector.
Up next at 9pm will be Almost Free who have been forging their musical chemistry since they were 16 and have since played hundreds of shows ‘round the Metro Detroit area. Some highlights include: the Chrysler Arts, Beats, and Eats Festival, Motor City Music Conference, NXNE Music Festival in Toronto, Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, the Metro Times Blowout, and the Land of Nod Festival. For Almost Free, making music is not a choice, it is a compulsive and consuming obsession. All they desire is the opportunity to spread their art to as many ears as they possibly can.

The Majestic Theatre is steeped in history, designed by C. Howard Crane, it
opened in 1915 as the largest theatre in the world of their kind. Since the mid
80’s, The Majestic Theatre has been the site of memorable concerts featuring
live music and entertainment from touring indie rock, blues, jazz, folk, hip hop
and worldbeat artists

At Mobsteel they build the sickest rides that ooze style.
When you roll up in a Mobsteel edition ride heads turn and people are not sure
if you are going to step out in a suit or with a sawed off shot gun.
Let them think what they want, but know this, they will be thinking…
They start with Detroit's finest vintage luxury cars and turn them into modern day menacing street machines with the technology and features only available today. The cars they build are a part of American history; Vintage Detroit steel, not some fiberglass repro. Steel with soul and a story. The blood, sweat and tears of our family and friends are in these motors, frames and bodies.
