And on the Other Side of the State…City Lights Music Festival!

This weekend over on the other side of the mitten is City Lights Music Festival in Grand Rapids. This festival is similar to a smaller version of our own Movement Festival with diverse electronic acts both local and national playing a three separate stages.
I went last year and really enjoyed the location for the show at Calder Plaza in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. The crowd was also a nice size with a moderate number early in the day making it fun to mix and mingle with then it grew to a packed throng of party animals dancing the night away.  I put it on my list as one of the best times I had last year so I am really looking forward to it again. I’ll be there Saturday snapping photos you’ll see here next week.
The two-day showcase is from 6 p.m.-midnight Friday, July 19 and 1 p.m.-midnight Saturday, July 20. Revealed via the event's official Facebook page, the list of performers is as follows (set times will be announced this week) :
