Show Preview/Interview: Saliva @ Uli's Haus Of Rock Lansing, MI 09/07/2013 (Bobby Amaru interview)



Memphis, TN rockers Saliva return to Uli's Haus of Rock this Saturday night in support of their new release "In It To Win It", their first release with newly recruited singer Bobby Amaru. Returning to a more raw and aggressive rock and roll sound, this new album lets the music speak for itself without a bunch of overdubbed electronics, tricks or other bullshit that you tend to find on a lot of modern "nu-metal" releases. With a mix of songs that are serious and reflective ("I Don't Want", "Lost") and a few that were composed for fun ("Redneck Freakshow"), the new album contains a diverse amount of music that encompasses the talents and musical direction of the entire band. Singer Bobby Amaru called me from the road as they sojourned onward to New York for a couple days of rest and relaxation before opening for Skid Row Friday night before returning to Lansing, MI.


In late 2012, Saliva signed to Rum Bum Records to begin a new phase of their already impressive career with new lead singer Bobby Amaru on board. To date, Saliva has sold millions of albums worldwide and has toured with the likes of KISS, Aerosmith, Godsmack, Sum 41, Nickelback and many more. Saliva is Bobby Amaru (vocals), Dave Novotny (bass), Paul Crosby (drums) and Wayne Swinny (guitar).
