WWJ-TV, CBS Detroit, will host a Contestant Search for the hit game show, Let’s Make A Deal, September 23rd from three until seven p.m. at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly.

This will be the only Search conducted in Michigan, and is only one of five confirmed Contestant Searches nationwide. Two participants from WWJ-TV’s local search will be selected to fly to Los Angeles and attend a taping of the legendary game show, and one of the two semi-finalists will be guaranteed to "make a deal" with host Wayne Brady.

The new Let’s Make A Deal premiered on CBS in October of 2009 - 45 years after its original debut - as an updated version of the classic television game show. Emmy® Award-winner Wayne Brady hosts the show, where audience members try to win cash and prizes by making wacky deals. Monty Hall, the original Deal host, is “…delighted to have Let’s Make a Deal back on the air with CBS” and serves as the show’s Creative Consultant. Deal airs weekdays on WWJ-TV at 10am.

The Let’s Make A Deal Contestant Search offers Detroit area hopefuls, who are U.S. residents, ages 18 and up, the shot at a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on the show. Participants are encouraged to show up in costume as they would on the show and will have a brief on-camera audition, answering the simple question –

“Why do you want to be a contestant on Let’s Make A Deal?”

All potential contestants must bring completed paperwork and valid photo ID to the search on September 23rd between 3pm and 7pm. The paperwork, consisting of an application and rules is available to download at www.CBSDetroit.com
