Mashable declared June 30th Social Media Day and Detroit took it to heart for it's 3rd year and put on an event that will be the envy of other cities. Held at the gorgeous Soundboard at MotorCity Casino, SMDD brought sponsors, catered food and a DJ altogether in an interactive setting where attendees connected with each other and the participating businesses. We exchanged business cards, ideas and spread the word that Detroit has a healthy and thriving social media community. Working with Heather Forgione we conducted several interviews with the people behind and at the show. This interview is with two of the people that helped put the show together: John Policicchio, Director of Interactive Marketing at MotorCity Casino and Nicole Yelland, Brand Manager at Livio Radio who are making the connection from internet radio to your vehicle.
