SUMMER FUN: Old Skool Base Ball

While baseball may date back as far as the 1300s, the game as we (more or less) know it started taking root in the US around the mid-18th century. By the middle of the 1800s, we start seeing something more like what we're accustomed to playing today. Well, sort of; it's a lot less common to see scores of 42-34 these days.

In our summer of 2010, we can watch the gentlemanly Lah-De-Dahs take on the upstart Nationals at our own Greenfield Village (of course).

I'm not saying I know anything, but the smart money's on the Nationals. Just look at 'em; you know they play dirty.
