Join 70+ local artisans and musicians Friday, December 9 at The Rust Belt Market in Ferndale, MI for "Not-So-Silent Night", a benefit for FernCare, the city's free clinic that provides health services to the area's medically un- and under-insured. The event, which is free and open to the public, offers holiday shoppers the opportunity to support independent, creative retail while helping those in need gain access to no-cost medical care. Bellissima Musica, DJ Top Kat, I Love Lightning Bugs and The Luddites will perform throughout the evening and the market's vendors will be open for business, offering everything from photography to vintage and original clothing, to one-of-a-kind jewelry and hand-crafted furniture - all made here in Michigan.
For those 21 and older, local brews from Woodward Avenue Brewers and Royal Oak Brewery will be showcased, with all drink sales benefiting FernCare. Not of legal drinking age and want to help? Purchase a raffle ticket for the chance to win a Ferndale Night on the Town, which includes dinner for two as well as gift certificates to city merchants, or stop by the wrapping station and package up your recently bought gifts - all monies go directly to the clinic!
