MCB-VIDEO - Free Comic Book Day 2008 @ Green Brain Comics / Stormy Records
MOTORCITYBLOG was over at Green Brain and Stormy Records today dropping off a few copies of the newly released MOTOR CITY COMIC and we purchased a nice copy of American Elf by James Kochalka who was kind enough to fly in and be a part of todays fun.

CARNIVORA opens in Los Angeles today at L’Imagerie Gallery in North Hollywood.
The Grand Opening of the gallery at a new location and the West Coast premier of the exhibition is planned for May 3rd, 2008.
The L’Imagerie show will include the 62 artists exhibited at Detroit’s ©Pop Gallery, plus newly added works by artists Eduard Anikonov, Jason Beam, Steven Cerio, Christopher Conte, Cam DeLeon, Mike Diana, Brian Horton, Ken Keirns, Travis Louie, Eric Joyner, Craig LaRotonda, Chris Peters, Bart Powers, Shag, Greg "Stainboy" Reinel, Dan Quintana, Jeral Tidwell, Keith Weesner, Robert Williams and Charles Wish.

At last months MMP not only did we get to talk to many of the local film makers but we were also informed that the governor was signing into law a bill that would bring film production to Michigan and sure enough it has worked - just today in the paper its reported that over 30 big-budget productions are under way with the tax incentives that were put into place!
Great movies dont have to come from Hollywood as the Mitten Movie Project has been proving now for many years - get on down to the Main Art and support local film makers!
