Legendary filmmaker and raconteur John Waters (“Pink Flamingos,” “Hairspray,” “A Dirty Shame”) rides his sleigh full of smut once again this year, spreading the good cheer of his critically acclaimed one-man show, “A John Waters Christmas”.
Like a wayward Santa for the Christmas obsessed, Waters delivers seasonal observations as only he can imagine in a rapid-fire monologue that puts the “X” in X-mas – exploring and exploding holiday archetypes.
Mr. Waters is currently riding high on another creative wave playing the “Groom Reaper” in the CourtTV series, “Til Death Do Us Part”.
You can also see him in “This Filthy World,” the Jeff Garlin-directed film of Waters’ spoken word act that has been performed at colleges, universities and film festivals for 30 years.
And finally, following up the success of his Yuletide compilation CD “A John Waters Christmas” – an Amazon.com bestseller two years running - New Line Records and John Waters released, “A Date With John Waters” on Valentine’s Day, 2007.
