Recycling for Charities: Our Earth Day Challenge

Date: March 22nd, 2010 12:00am - April 25th, 2010 12:00am

Between March 22 and April 24 individuals with used or broken electronics, such as cell phones, PDAs, MP3 players, and digital cameras, will have the opportunity to drop off their items, which will later be recycled, at participating locations in downtown Royal Oak. As an added incentive the following stores will be giving discounts to 'green' customers who donate on site:

The challenge to keep our landfills clean of e-waste will culminate with the community-wide Earth Day celebration in downtown Royal Oak on April 25 (12pm-4pm). You can help keep our soil and ground water safe from harmful chemicals released by e-waste simply by bringing your old electronics with you! Just look for Recycling for Charities and their eco-friendly Smart Car. And don't forget, you can also write these donations off on your taxes!

All donations will benefit Recycling for Charities and their efforts to fight the e-waste epidemic while supporting non-profits across the nation.
