We are looking for artwork in all mediums to be showcased at the 2014 Detroit Erotica Ball.
Erotica (from the Greek ἔρως, eros "desire") is any artistic work that deals substantively with erotically stimulating or sexually arousing subject matter. Erotica has high-art aspirations, differentiating it from commercial pornography.
Keep in mind we are looking for sexual, sensual, beautiful, emotionally stimulating work, not dirty, nasty, offensive material.
Please send a maximum of five submissions to eroticaballart@gmail.com and name the files as "artistnametitle.jpg." Include the title, medium, size and price of each piece with your submissions. Deadline is midnight, Sunday April 6th. Artists will be notified by Friday April 11th.
There is no entry fee for this show but the Detroit Erotica Ball will take a 20% commission on any works sold. Accepted artists will be included in all promotions of the show.
