Sophomore Studio Album - Pot of Gold
British Soul Singer Featured On The Hotel Café Tour
In Support Of Her New Album

Six Degrees Records is pleased to announce the signing of Alice Russell, whose sophomore studio album, Pot Of Gold, will be released digitally on November 4th and physically on January 6th in North and South America. Alice Russell is also a featured artist on this fall’s Hotel Café Tour alongside fellow female singers Rachael Yamagata, Meiko, and Thao Nguyen. Alice’s nine date tour hits major markets including Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.
Alice Russell is in great demand as a vocalist and has gained an enviable reputation as one of the UK’s hottest singers, having recorded with the likes of Massive Attack, The Nextmen and Quantic and performing with the likes of The Roots and The Quantic Soul Orchestra.
Blessed with a lavishly soulful voice, Alice manages to sound both timeless and up to the minute modern. Her live performances have a unique quality; the ability to captivate an audience and to hold their attention throughout, expertly tugging at the heartstrings. Alice has used her talent to great effect, gaining renown for her performances with the mighty Quantic Soul Orchestra and more recently her own band. She has also supported Lonnie Liston Smith, Femi Kuti, De La Soul and appeared on the bill with Amy Winehouse for the British showcase at the Midem Music Conference in Cannes 2007.

Alice's recent collaboration with Ninja Tune's Mr. Scruff on 'Music Takes Me Up' is a standout track from his new album Ninja Tuna and was released to rave reviews. As for her own material, she's been distilling her sound, laying live strings, horns and piano to compliment very intimate and uplifting shift in her style for her new album, Pot Of Gold. So make sure you don't miss a chance to sneak a first peek of the new Alice Russell material during her U.S. tour dates this November.
