Interview/Show Preview: Vintage Trouble coming to Joe Louis Arena 11/24/2012

Arguably one of the hottest new bands to emerge in the past couple years, Vintage Trouble has wasted no time in their ascension to the top of the music scene. Formed just under two years ago in Venice Beach, CA. the band is comprised of multiple talented musicians, all veterans in their own right, having spent many formative years perfecting their skills and bringing it all together in one soulful, rocking, harmonious group that harkens back to the days of simpler music, simpler times, when music was more free from the over produced sounds we find bombarding our ears in this day.

Fronted by the silky soothed voice of Ty Tyler, the fuzz laden tones from Nalle Colt's guitars, the Motown R&B inspired bass from Rick Barrio Dill and backed by percussionist Richard Danielson, Vintage Trouble brings a sound to the table that has instantly captured the ears of many fans overseas and here at home in the USA. With their debut album "The Bomb Shelter Sessions" rising to the top of the charts on iTunes and Amazon U.K. including the #1 best selling R&B digital album on Amazon, it seemed that success was just a step away. That step would take them across the Atlantic much to the delight of the crowds in the U.K, playing 80 shows in 100 days, supporting acts such as Brian May (Queen) and Bon Jovi,  Due to that success, they were handpicked by The Who to be the support act on the Quadrophenia tour currently making it's way around North America. With a devoted following from their fanbase, affectionately dubbed "Troublemakers", it's easy to see why this band is something special by reading the posts in the various forums, and the excitement with which they speak of the band. The fellas were kind enough to take time out of their busy schedule to talk with me today over the phone, this is what transpired.
(Apologies for the looping in my voice, it was hard to avoid it due to the setup of the recording devices and the speakerphone.)
