Join the bands Dead in 5, Mound Road Engine, White Shag, Paula Messner (Candy Band/Motor Dolls/Vertical Pillows) and Mary Cobra (The Detroit Cobras/Vertical Pillows/Motor Dolls), HafLife, Wild Savages, SCREW, Shameless Tramps, One Last Crime and special guests this Saturday (Feb 13) at the Token Lounge in Westland as they pay tribute to rock legend Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead. Each band will play 2 Motorhead songs and 2 originals.
VJ Strokenfold will be spinning Motorhead influenced bands and showing clips of Lemmy interviews between acts.
They will also be raffling off 2 DVDs of Lemmy (film), a custom LEMMY drumhead courtesy of Vernon Glen Blevins of HafLife, a 16 X 20 Lemmy Photo (by Terence Cover) with Ace of Spades frame, and a Lucky Monkey Tattoo prize pack. Blackport Speaker Cabinets and Music Castle are donating an Eminence Speaker LLC Texas Heat speaker to the raffle!
All raffle proceeds and Partial door proceeds will benefit Anthony Tolson's children. Anthony Tolson was a Detroit bass player, brutally murdered on Christmas Eve.
Everyone is encouraged to wear their Motorhead gear, and share their favorite Lemmy/Motorhead moments/personal stories!
